About Quest

Is the brand new nature experience in Latta Nature Preserve, a 13,000 square foot facility for indoor and outdoor adventures in Huntersville and just 20 minutes from Uptown Charlotte.

Quest is made up of various projects such as the Latta Nature Center, the Carolina Raptor Center and the new central exhibit hall themed «Nothing Survives without Water,» focuses on the animals and habitats that are home to Latta Nature Preserve. 

Indoor and outdoor exhibits will focus on the importance of clean water and the inspiration that birds bring to our lives. A catering kitchen, food truck pads and an expanded gift shop are added amenities for visitors and special events.

Quest offers endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Paddling enthusiasts will find two launch areas. Numerous fishing opportunities are also available, including a fishing dock.

Latta Nature Preserve has 16 miles of trails offering hikers, nature enthusiasts, and horseback riders the opportunity to explore a variety of terrain while enjoying scenic views of the lake, forests, and streams.

Objective

Create the new brand identity where the diversity of the different projects that are involved in this development are reflected, such as the Raptor Center, Latta Nature Reserve and the hall themed «Nothing Survives without Water», as well, the different activities around the preserve and the unity between the natural elements that make this place unique in North Carolina.

Concept

Our new brand visually leverages the most important elements of our overall projects, activities and partners. «Q” as a representation of a drop, leaf and feather, enclosed with a circle to represent integration and union. By having the “Q” intersect with the circle we show that we are approachable, open and we connect with the community. The tagline words gives it a colorful underline and emphasize the logo. The wide kerning creates a sense of vast openness, making it feel clean and inviting to the activities.
