About is ECMHSP
East Coast Migrant Head Start Project was established in 1974, through a grant to the Leadership of Christian Women, to provide services to migrant farmworkers and their children. Under the leadership of Sister Geraldine O’Brien, Head Start centers were opened along the east coast and mid-west of the United States to ensure continuity of services as families migrated to work in agriculture. Today, ECMHSP operates at 47 centers and serves 2,653 children annually.
Objective
Develop the new brand identity, with a view to the future, preserve its symbolic meaning and what it currently represents for society, migrant working families, as well as the workers of the Head Star Project.
Old Brand Identity
The old brand identity was a drawing by the main leadership of Christian Women, Sister Geraldine O’Brien.
Concept
Our new brand visually leverages some of the most important elements of our overall mission for the parents, teachers and staff. Here, we represent farmworker families and the importance of their work, growth, love, unity, care, education, and overall, hope for a better future for their children.
In this unique concept, the hopeful future that education provides grows from an open book. The logo is simple yet powerful, modern and evergreen, and well-balanced in colors and composition.
